Über die Zuordnung des Einzelfalles zur einen oder anderen der hier gebildeten Gruppen (Prozeßschizophrenie, schizophrenieähnliche Reaktionen, schizophrenieähnliche Defekte) wird man gewiß streiten können, aber ein eindeutiges Plus der Schädelverletzten an schizophrenen Prozeßerkrankungen ist nicht vorhanden. Es hat sich weiterhin bei einer gemeinsamen Bearbeitung des Münchener und Heidelberger Materials gezeigt, daß sich unter 38 schizophrenieverdächtigen Kopfverletzten mindestens l4 einwandfreie schizophrene Prozesse fanden, deren Manifestwerden aber in sehr unterschiedlichem zeitlichen Abstand von 1/4 Jahr bis zu 9 Jahren nach der Hirnverletzung erfolgte. Nimmt man hinzu, daß ein beträchtlicher Teil dieser Kranken aus Familien stammt, in welchen schizophrene Belastung nachzuweisen war, so wird das Gewicht für die Frage eines ursächlichen Zusammenhangs noch geringer. Dagegen interessiert auch hier klinisch im Einzelfall das Zusammenspiel und die Überschneidungen der schizophrenen Symptome mit den lokalen oder allgemeinen Erscheinungen der Hirnschädigung (s. Beispiel S. 513).
